On Thursday, October 23rd at 12pm Atlantic Time, over 150 academic workers at Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) walked off the job following an impasse in negotiations. The following day, part-time faculty at SMU joined fellow members of CUPE 3912 on the picket line after bargaining hit an impasse the evening of Wednesday October 29, after a full day of negotiations at SMU.
A tentative agreement was reached with CUPE 3912 and Dalhousie University on Monday, October 20. Details of that tentative agreement will not be shared until members have had the opportunity to review and ratify the terms, which will take place as soon as possible.
